With the implementation of Resolution 95/2024 of the Ministry of Transportation, the process of homologation of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, assembled by parts and pieces, continues in Ciego de Ávila, which for certain reasons did not do so from the Resolution 200/2021.

Olga Gener Pérez, Transport delegate in this province, told Radio Surco that the process aims to exceptionally register in the offices of the National Department of Vehicle Registration and Driving License of the Ministry of the Interior.

The official explained that those interested must register in the census enabled on the Vehicles assembled by parts and pieces website (https://vap.transnet.cu/) within 60 days.

The essential data include the permanent identification number of the owner; the volume and folio of the birth certificate, and the type and model of the motor vehicle, trailer or semi-trailer.

The predominant and secondary color are also requested; the engine number and the number of the motorcycle body or frame, if any, and the type of fuel or other renewable source of energy used.

He also pointed out that a side photo of the vehicle must be presented from the driver’s position (in the case of motorcycles, where the chain guard is located), and telephone numbers and an email address must be provided for its location.

When the owner of the means of transport cannot register it in the census because he is abroad, the person who legally represents him can do so. In this regard, he said that each owner can register a motor vehicle, with a trailer or semi-trailer, assembled in parts and pieces.

The Transportation delegate in Ciego de Ávila concluded that, after the requested data is correctly filled out, the website automatically offers the file number that corresponds to the applicant in that process.
