During the event, the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Luis Medina Ruiz, recognized Dr. Hortencia Juárez de Rodríguez for her career, commitment and dedication on the 20th anniversary of the Provincial Disability Board.
On the occasion, Medina Ruiz expressed: “The work carried out by the Disability Board in the province is very valuable. That is why today this recognition is given for so many years of being close to people. As Governor Osvaldo Jaldo asks us, to work throughout the territory of the province and provide an immediate response, especially in this type of procedures that are carried out in the Board, where the rights of a person with disabilities are guaranteed. We congratulate each of the workers for their daily work.”
For her part, Juárez was very excited about the 20th anniversary of the Disability Board and stressed that it is a recognition of the work that they have been doing, with the entire team, in support of people who really need their document to prove their disability status, such as the certificate.
“This certificate opens the door to their rights. Traveling throughout the province and seeing the needs of each of the people who really need us is a great task and this is a great recognition for me, it is a caress to the soul. Really, because it is not only for me, but also for all those who accompany me,” said Juárez.
The professional said that she began working 20 years ago, which allowed her to grow in the field of disability and thus achieve a postgraduate degree to be able to provide improved care to all the people who need it. “Our place is a reference place in the province for all people with disabilities,” she concluded.
