In the last few hours, an abbreviated trial was held in San Juan Justice in which a subject was sentenced to one year of conditional prison (he will not go to jail) for disobeying a prohibition and, drunk, brutally beating his ex-partner.

According to reports, José Espejo was in a relationship with a woman for a year and a half. As a result of the relationship, they had a daughter together, however, the subject exercised physical and verbal violence against her, so much so that last January the victim requested precautionary measures against him, which were ordered by the Family Court.

In any case, despite the ban on Espejo, the last Father’s Day, the guy arrived at his ex’s house and got drunk. He began to verbally attack her and then grabbed her by the neck and punched her in the head, as a result of which the woman fell to the ground.

Once there, Espejo kicked her in the body, told her that she was a prostitute and that he was going to kill her, showing her a Tramontine knife from his pocket.

Then, Espejo left the home and the victim called 911. Immediately after receiving the complaint, the aggressor was arrested and brought to the attention of the local Justice Department.

This Friday, in the Detention Formalization and Control Hearing, the limited solution of an abbreviated trial was reached and Espejo was sentenced to 1 year in prison with conditional compliance for being the author criminally responsible for the crimes of minor injuries aggravated by the bond, Aaggravated threats and disobedience to a court order.
