In the Soad Louis Laka auditorium of the David Martínez Departmental Library of Córdoba, the installation of the Departmental Heritage Council for the four-year period 2024-2027.

The main objective of the Council is to identify, protect and promote the cultural and natural assets that are part of the Cordoba identity.

It is made up of 15 citizens who are experts in cultural heritage, representatives of local institutions and community members, and will work collaboratively to safeguard and disseminate the historical and cultural heritage of this department.

For Heidy Torres Becerra, Secretary of Culture of Córdoba, the installation of this Council represents a firm commitment on the part of the Governorate of Córdoba in the preservation of history and traditions.

The members of the Departmental Heritage Council who were elected for the 2024-2027 term are: Erasmo Elías Zuleta Bechara, governor of Córdoba; Heidy Johanna Torres Becerra, Secretary of Culture of Córdoba; Orlando Medina Marsiglia, director of the Corporation of the Sinú and San Jorge Valleys – CVS; Cilia Jaquelin Tobías Carrascal, Secretary of Infrastructure; Iván Darío Nader Díaz, Secretary of Economic and Agroindustrial Development; Jorge David Quintero Núñez, Director of the Office of Tourism and Crafts of Córdoba; Nicolás Javier Corena Correa, representative of Community Councils or Afro associations legally recognized by the Ministry of the Interior in the department of Cordova and Carlos Mario Mesa Mejía, Indigenous representative of the Etnia Zenú sector.

In addition to Andrés Rafael Ramos Cabrales, Silvio Bernardo Burgos Durango, and Blanca Delia Muñoz López, distinguished experts for ensuring the safeguarding and conservation of the cultural heritage of the Department; Julio César Pérez Méndez, representative of the Universities of the Department – ​​Faculties of Architecture (University of Sinú); Nunila Zumaqué Gómez, representative of the Universities of the Department – ​​Faculties of Humanities (University of Córdoba); William Fortich Díaz, representative of the Córdoba Academy of History, and Juan Pablo Olmos Lorduy, representative of the Cordoba Society of Architects.
