The second prosecutor of the Unit for Serious Crimes against Persons intervened, and he has been conducting various investigations into the death of the 40-year-old officer from the very beginning. The first versions that have emerged indicate that it was a suicide, however the investigators do not rule out any hypothesis.
During the morning it was the sergeant’s partner who alerted about what happened, pointing out that the man had gone to the field with the service weapon, in the vicinity of the Portal de Lesser neighborhood.
“Pursuant to Resolution 1284 dated November 17, 2021 of the Attorney General’s Office of the Province, the work of personnel from the Fiscal Investigative Corps and the Special Investigation Unit UGAP was ordered to carry out the necessary tasks on site, aimed at clarifying the incident,” reported the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The sergeant’s body was transferred to the Forensic Thanatology Service of the CIF, where the autopsy was performed, through which it was confirmed in a preliminary report that the death was caused by a gunshot wound.
