On the morning of this Friday, June 28, through its official account of ‘X’ the Civil Aeronautics, confirmed the arrival of the Italian airline Neos, which will provide its services to transport passengers between Colombia and Italy. According to Aerocivil, the company was designated by the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC).
“Reporting is permitted by the National Civil Aviation Entity (ENAC) based on current agreements, that the Italian airline NEOS ApA was designated to run passenger line services on the routes between Italy and Colombia“, says a document issued by the Italian Embassy.
Besides, requested that communication be made with the Civil Aeronautics entities of both nations so that this new route becomes effective. “This Embassy would greatly appreciate the information and transmission of the aforementioned designation to the Civil Aeronautics of Colombia and other possible entities for which the designation is relevant. It is noted that ENAC has already transmitted to the Civil Aeronautics of Colombia a letter with the designation that is attached to this Note Verbal.”

Currently, Neos is an Italian airline that has 16 aircraft, all of which are Boeing. For long-term flights it uses the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which has a capacity for about 355 passengers.which is great news for the Colombian tourism sector, since it provides a direct connection with Italy.
