The Province will financially assist the Municipality of Salta to execute urban infrastructure. To this end, Governor Gustavo Sáenz signed with Mayor Emiliano Durand the agreement to carry out works in La ExPalúdica (City of Music), restitution of pavement and street repairs in different neighborhoods, construction and functionalization of the urban corridor of Yrigoyen Avenue, repair of works carried out by Aguas del Norte, among others.
The Province will financially assist the Municipality of Salta to execute urban infrastructure. To this end, Governor Gustavo Sáenz signed with Mayor Emiliano Durand the agreement to carry out works in La ExPalúdica (City of Music), restitution of pavement and street repairs in different neighborhoods, construction and functionalization of the urban corridor of Yrigoyen Avenue, repair of works carried out by Aguas del Norte, among others.
After the signing, Governor Sáenz stressed that working together “is the only way to move forward and bring solutions to our people; it is what the people of Salta and Argentina expect, and what I have demonstrated throughout all my administrations is the best.”
Along these lines he stated: “Today is a special day after six hard months; people need the national, provincial and municipal governments to work together.” Thus, the president indicated that the Province is developing a Works Plan that has a strong federal imprint to generate more work and better living conditions for the people of Salta in every corner of Salta.
Gustavo Sáenz also referred to the national context and said: “They have been given the necessary tools to execute their government plan; it was a civic obligation and from now on it is not the responsibility of the provinces if the national government is doing well or badly.”
For his part, Mayor Durand thanked the Province for its support in carrying out important works for the city. “Since the beginning of this administration, we have had the support of Governor Gustavo Sáenz and the Government of Salta and that has allowed us to work on the recovery of the city. This constant support is fundamental because it will allow us to continue doing necessary and transcendental works, such as the recovery of the Ex Palúdica building, which will be a cultural space for all Salta residents, the Paseo de la Fe and many projects that will place Salta again as the capital of the north of the country.”
The works
The projects within the framework of the agreement include patching and road repair tasks in micro- and macro-center areas. At the same time, the restitution of pavement demolished due to repairs and opening of roads due to water loss in different neighborhoods is planned.
The work of the Paseo de la Fe will also be carried out, through the readjustment of roads and sidewalks on Dean Funes Street – Córdoba, in order to convert them into streets of coexistence.
Finally, the construction and functionalization of the Av. Yrigoyen Urban Corridor will be carried out, a work that is paralyzed and is beneficial for the east of the city.
On the other hand, the work on the property known as “La ExPalúdica” will be completed, which will include the renovation of the seven buildings and the central plaza of the complex.
