Despite the complexity of the times, the Cubanacan Group in Santiago de Cuba maintains favorable results, reflected in the work of the hotels without losses, with sustainability and generating productions for self-consumption.
In this sense, Wilfredo Villaverde Montes de Oca, Sales Representative of the Delegation in the territory, explained to Sierra Maestra that “they take advantage of the possibilities in the market to attract clients and produce income, especially fresh foreign currency to the country.”
For this purpose, they are linked to established companies and tour operators; despite the limitations on flights to the province, they are brought from other regions of the country. Now through an online system that brings them closer to the market without necessarily having to go through travel agencies.
However, they are linked to, among others, Havanatur, Gaviotatur, Ecotur and others based abroad; although the problems today are in transportation, alternatives such as bus rentals are being applied.
On the other hand, ‘Cubanacan’ in Santiago interacted at this Expocaribe International Fair (which concludes today) with suppliers and service providers (in the areas of technology and tourism insurance), to guarantee better tourist products in the facilities and reduce costs and expenses.
