Tania María Heredia de la Guardia, member of the Party’s Provincial Bureau in Granma, explained that work has been done to rescue many significant and emblematic aspects of summer in the territory, including the repairs of dissimilar facilities, such as the playgrounds in Bayamo. and Manzanillo.
“Precisely with the reopening of the Bayamo Zoological Park Complex we officially began this summer of 2024, an event that has created many expectations in the town, as it is a distinguished place linked to recreation in the region,” said Heredia de la Guardia.
“Bathroom areas, spaces for dancing, parades, typical foods, parties, concerts, among others, are among the options that will be offered in the neighborhoods and communities, in accordance with the varied tastes and preferences.
According to Odelaine Matos Oliva, an official of the provincial government, a comprehensive strategy has been conceived in which political and mass organizations, together with various organizations, will ensure the necessary resources to carry out quality activities aimed at different age groups.
The Provincial Popular Camping Company offers its four facilities to the public, with accommodation options, hiking, tours to places of interest and camping, as does the Tourism Delegation and the Accommodation System, which invite direct contact with nature in their instances.
For his part, Ronisel Garcés Martínez, head of the Ideological Department of the Union of Young Communists (UJC) in Granma, stated that during the months of July and August the actions will have Cuban traditions, beaches and traditional games as their central axis. sports.
The UJC in the province has prepared an extensive program of activities with the aim of providing children, young people, adults and also the elderly with a pleasant summer time.
“To do this, we will visit historic sites, climb Pico Turquino, have rotations in our pioneer camps, while the summer camp space will host 200 young people who excel in their studies and work,” said Garcés Martínez.
The Party and Government authorities in the province call on companies to promote state gastronomy with the resources available in the neighborhoods themselves, at affordable prices.
The provincial Healthy Recreation Commission, as well as the summer command posts, enabled in each of the municipalities of Granma, will respond to suggestions, concerns and doubts from the population regarding activities during summer 2024.
