Winter continues to advance in Neuquén and the rest of Patagonia, bringing periodic cold fronts. Some of them with greater intensity. like the one a week ago that left several towns in Neuquén overwhelmed by the large amount of snow and white wind that forced the closure of roads. The National Meteorological Service (SMN) recently issued another alert for this Sunday, June 30.
Specifically, the warning The yellow color in force for the end of the weekend is due to snowfall in the southern mountain range, over the Neuquén lakes region.
According to the SMN, accumulated snow levels of “between 20 and 40 centimeters, which can be exceeded occasionally”. Even exceeding what was forecast for southern Patagonia, in Tierra del Fuego, where between 10 and 15 centimetres of snow are expected.
For the rest of the province, towards the centre and north, a cold day is expected but with the presence of sun, mainly on the plateau. Although the Interjurisdictional Authority of Basins (AIC) highlighted the presence of frost.
