Flybondi will operate in San Juan from September

Yesterday, at a press conference, Governor Marcelo Orrego confirmed that Flybondi will begin operating from San Juan. Initially, it will have 4 weekly flights on the San Juan – Buenos Aires route. Ticket prices start at 25,999 pesos and are already available for purchase. After Lan left the province in 2018, only Aerolíneas Argentinas flights could be made at the Domingo Faustino Sarmiento airport. It is also the first time that a low-cost company has offered routes to and from the province since its entry into the national market.

The company will be arriving on September 2, as confirmed, with two daily schedules on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Arrival times will be at 13:00 and 15:15 and departure times to Buenos Aires at 15:45 and 17:25. This will reinforce local routes, which had decreased during the first months of the year. This had generated several complaints from the tourism and hotel sectors, which asked for an increase in frequencies. During yesterday’s press conference, Orrego stressed that the arrival of the low-cost airline will speed up the local market. There will also be a hiring of local personnel, through the airline’s website, to cover the new air transport service.
