The Sancti Spíritus-Cienfuegos route will be reinstated by road with two frequencies per week. By rail, a train will run every four days from the city of Yayabo to Havana.

The provincial event honoring transporters took place at the National Bus Base Business Unit, an entity with stability in the recovery of cars in operation and the provision of services.

José Lorenzo García, delegate of the Ministry of Transportation in the territory, praised the Sancti Spiritus transporters in the search for alternatives to improve passenger transportation such as the ecomobiles that roll through the streets of the city of Yayabo. He also referred to the prominence of each of the branches of the sector in its interaction with other destinations of economic relevance.

During the commemoration, recognition was given to outstanding workers and entities in labor and union activity, and fourteen established transporters with more than 20 and 25 years of experience in the sector received the José María Pérez Capote Distinction.
