Barquisimeto.- THE TEAM Cuban mixed baseball5 team will seek today its direct advance to the title discussion, in the Pan American tournament held at the Bolivarian Dome, in this Venezuelan city.
This Friday, the troops of capital coach Pablo Terry remained undefeated. With a couple of wins he got one of the three tickets in dispute for the world championship in Hong Kong, where he will seek to retain the crown he won in Mexico 2022.
Cuba now has 11 points out of a possible 12, the highest of the four participating teams. And it has not been complete, as for the first time in its international competitive history, a team has taken a set from it.
That happened the day before, when they defeated Mexico 2-1 (17×0, 2-5, 18×0). The baseball5 regulations state that with a result of this type, the winner does not receive three points, but two, and one unit is awarded to the loser.
