Scholarships for the most vulnerable
The provincial director of Socio-educational Policies and Equity of the Ministry of Education, Amalin Temistressed that “in light of these numbers, we are reaching those who need them most with scholarships.”

The program’s X-ray described the percentage distribution of beneficiaries at the initial, primary and secondary levels. The regions with better economic indicators presented a lower incidence of scholarship recipients in the total number of students.

In the Northern region, 2,092 scholarships were distributed in a universe of 11,021 students. In the Central West region Among 16,482 students, 2,314 (14%) received scholarships. In the Central Limay region The enrollment contains 2,804 students of which 211 were awarded scholarships (7.52%). In the southern region The enrollment has 19,411 students, among those who received the scholarship 1,244 (6.41%). In the Confluence region There are 101,880 students with 4,648 scholarship recipients (4.56%). In the Oil Region region The enrollment is made up of 13,638 students, of which 425 received aid (3.12%) and in the Vaca Muerta region 468 students received the scholarship, 3.3% of the 14,161 registered students.

Business contributions
Temi said that “more and more companies are joining to contribute funds to the scholarship program.” He stressed that “this support from companies that work in our province, those that exploit the richest resource our soil has, is very important.”
The province signed agreements with various companies and entities to finance and promote the provincial scholarship system, among them are the Argentine Institute of Oil and Gas (IAPG) Comahue Section, PAE, YPF, GyP, Pluspetrol, Pampa Energía, Shell, Phoenix , Tecpetrol and VISTA.
The Plan Follow-up and Monitoring Commission is responsible for reviewing the actions carried out, analyzing the partial results obtained, fine-tuning the strategies and methodologies implemented and receiving the committee’s suggestions to strengthen the management tool, optimizing the quality of the actions.
