Last Tuesday, the Municipality of Tartagal signed a framework cooperation agreement with the National University of Salta.

The purpose of the cooperation framework agreement is to combine efforts and carry out joint actions aimed at promoting research, teaching and extension projects. In addition, it provides for internships and professional practices.

The signing of the agreement was carried out by the mayor, Franco Hernández Berni and the Rector of UNSa, Daniel Hoyos.

Ernesto Restom, Secretary of Government of Tartagal, informed Nuevo Diario that one of the objectives is to obtain the presence of professionals to carry out their internships.

One of those areas is drilling, a career taught in the municipality. “We have a water secretary and we have an ongoing activity with services provided by the University. Research is being done on where drinking water may exist and then carry out a project and construct wells,” she commented.

The interns would work on this project where the possibilities of creating more water wells are analyzed, and also on the city’s water system.

Likewise, the agreement provides for supervised professional practices in matters of political policy development.

It also aims to exchange students between the Capital and Tartagal to carry out these practices.

Another point of the agreement is the organization of courses, training, seminars and conferences.
