- With the Traffic and Transport Section we prevent road accidents
Within the framework of the “School Recess Let’s Celebrate as a Family for Road Safety” campaign, the National Police in Atlántico, through the Transit and Transportation Section, has a road prevention strategy in place. The 7 prevention areas will be located at strategic points on national roads to guarantee the mobility and safety of travelers during this festive long weekend.
Likewise, controls will be carried out to verify that drivers have all the required documentation in order to travel on the department’s roads. It is important to emphasize to all road users the responsibility when driving a motor vehicle and more so taking into account this season. Likewise, we make some recommendations to avoid road accidents.
Road Safety Recommendations:
1. Respect traffic rules and signs
2. Do not drive while intoxicated or under the influence of narcotic substances.
3. Do not exceed the speed limits
4. Do not perform dangerous maneuvers
5. Drive carefully and keep your documents up to date.
6. Be tolerant of other road users

These sessions will be extended to all road axes of the Department of Atlántico to prevent accidents on the roads and to ensure that users travel safely. We remind you of the importance of reporting incidents that affect safety and coexistence to the emergency hotline 123.
