This Saturday, June 29, Pride Fest Armenia 2024 takes place. The event is held in commemoration of LGBTIQ+ Pride Day and seeks to promote equality and respect for diversity. The celebration will feature a series of activities that highlight inclusion and the defense of human rights.

Pride Fest Armenia 2024 will focus its activities on three main events. The day will begin with a march that will depart from the University of Quindío at 12 noon this Saturday, June 29, and will end in the Plaza de Bolívar, traveling a route in a north-south direction.

The Ministry of Traffic and Transportation of Armenia announced that it will ensure the correct mobility of Armenians, taking into account the road closures from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, which will take place to make room for the Pride Fest.

The day will have as its starting point the University of Quindío, generating closures in the following way: from Carrera 14 to Calle 9, there it will take Carrera 15 heading to Calle 21 to end in Plaza de Bolívar. It should be reported that, as the Pride Fest progresses, the sectors through which it passes will gradually open.

Other Pride Festival events

In Plaza Bolívar, as soon as the parade arrives, Expo Diversa will take place, a space where entrepreneurs and businessmen can promote their brands and products. The celebration will conclude with the official Pride Land party.

The government of Quindío extended an invitation to all Quindíos to participate in this event that celebrates equality and respect for the diverse population of the department. This festival is not only an opportunity to make visible and support the LGBTIQ+ community, but also to foster an environment of coexistence and respect, reaffirming Quindío’s commitment to the rights and inclusion of all people.

To avoid mobility inconveniences, from Setta it is recommended that Armenians take alternative routes such as Av. Centenario, Carreras 13, 16, 17, 18 and 19, as well as streets 10 north, 5 north and 2 north, which will operate without any setback and allow connection between all areas of the city.
