Gabriel Katopodisholder of the Ministry of Infrastructure Buenos Aires; and Andres Larroqueminister of Community developmentpresented the Supply Buenos Aires Programan initiative for the construction of a Collection center and Distribution wholesaler in the province that seeks to promote the development of small producers.
The event was attended by the director Provincial Linkage and Regional IntegrationOscar Minteguía; the Provincial Director of Social economy from the Ministry of Community Development, Florencia Villar; the director of Development for Regional Productive Frameworks from the Ministry of Infrastructure, Miguela Varela; the president of Solidarity Force TrustJuan Caccamo; and the project coordinator at the Rosa Luxemburg FoundationPatricia Lizárraga.
In that sense, Katopodis He said: “This is, of course, another link in the whole public infrastructure that we are carrying forward in the Buenos Aires province for productive development, job creation and consolidation of social actors and strong cooperative community organizations.”

In turn, the Buenos Aires municipalities that participate in the program will provide the land for the construction of the spaces and, from their substantive areas, will monitor their operation, while the Solidarity Force Trust It will provide financing for a first purchase of merchandise stock that begins the commercial circuit of each center.
In the first stage, 20 new Centers in different parts of AMBA and the inside of the Provincestrategically selected, according to their connection with routes and ease of access to marketing points. The objective is to generate a logistics network that allows integrated and coordinated operation between the different spaces.
The units will have a total area of 200 m2, and will be divided into sectors: on the one hand, there will be a multipurpose space, intended for production, storage and marketing of merchandise; and on the other, an area for services, with meeting rooms, kitchen and bathrooms. Likewise, each center will be built with concrete columns and metal roofs that will have a span of 10 meters, while its enclosure will be executed with traditional architecture and will have a coating of sheet metal on the sides.
Supplying Buenos Aires aims to solve one of the main problems faced by small producers which is the lack of centralized spaces to store and from where to distribute their products, which makes them less competitive in the market.
Through this policy, we seek to enhance the development of small producerssolving a key link in its chain of production and marketing. Through these spaces, located in different municipalities, the food producing organizations In a self-managed manner they will be able to distribute their products in the wholesale market, while the Retailers They will be able to supply their neighborhood shops and warehouses.
