The ADIUC teaching union announced this Friday the suspension of exam taking during the July recess at the National University of Córdoba.

This measure is in protest against salary claims and could affect the start of the second quarter.

Javier Blancorepresentative of ADIUC, explained to Chain 3:”The union delegates decided to propose not taking exams in the second part of the shifts, that is, during the recess until August.”

He also added that they are considering “a non-start of the second semester,” and a proposal to hold a week of public classes as an alternative way to show academic activities.

Blanco also revealed that they plan to coordinate these measures with other unions at the national level. “I am going to participate in Buenos Aires, in a national union meeting Monday and Tuesday.”

From ADIUC they maintain that they have suffered a salary loss between 40 and 60% in the last six months. These measures are an attempt to draw attention to their situation and seek solutions. The conflict threatens to disrupt normal academic activities during the university break.
