He became a surprise in the last regional elections, which left him as mayor of the city of Tunja, Boyacá. For many, it was simply a message from the citizens to the traditional parties. and perhaps one of the flags of the Russian professor, as the president is known, in the fight against corruption.
But the months progressed and difficulties in his Government began to appear, demands for electoral nullity; allegations of acts of corruption; lack of requirements of some of the close people who are in positions important aspects of his Mayor’s Office and even mistreatment of officials became the daily life of the current administration.
Yesid Figueroa is one of the citizens who filed various actions to have the authorities investigate what is happening in the current Mayor’s Office. One of these cases concerns a person who had filed a complaint for electoral nullity, but who apparently later withdrew it. and would have ended up with a multimillion-dollar contract in a department of the mayor’s office, according to his accuser.
“We filed a criminal complaint against Mayor Mikhail Krasnov, the manager of Ecovivienda and to the lawyer Sebastián Ramírez, for the punishable offense of bribery, influence peddling and improper execution of contracts, among other crimes, because we effectively have evidence that the prosecutor’s office, the 22nd sectional prosecutor’s office of Tunja, already has. “which is investigating the rights against the public administration and we are very advanced, I cannot reveal more information,” said Yesid Figueroa.
Another case of alleged contract routing refers to what would have signed by a woman who is expected to have a child with the judge who is handling the case of Mayor Mikhail Krasnovin the Administrative Court of Boyacá.

“She got that contract by virtue of a public call and I want to reiterate something, the lawyer has not been, nor is my permanent partner, nor my sentimental partner, nor my concubine.. I am a married man, I am a person who has had a relationship with my wife for more than 12 years, therefore, those accusations that are made against me seem to me to be fables that are constructed through gossip, rumors, and information. inaccurate, with the sole purpose of harming me, affecting my moral integrity, the privacy of my family and judicial independence,” said Judge Arciniegas.
The magistrate of the Administrative Court of Boyacá He clarified what the process of the current mayor of Tunja is going.
“The lawsuit against the election of the mayor is filed in my office, determinations have been made in relation to that lawsuit, the most recentthe one related to the rejection of the claim that I want to clarify was not my, sole decision, but rather that of the second decision chamber of the Administrative Court of Boyacá, made up of 3 magistrates, a decision that was the subject of appeal, resolved by the Council of State recently, which revokes that decision and agrees with the plaintiffso that this fable that is circulating, this fiction that we have committed a prevarication, falls flat, because that decision was the subject of an appeal and the Council of State revoked it to give reason to the plaintiffs,” he explained.
On the other hand, Nelson Villabona, the public prosecutor of Tunja, opened several disciplinary investigations for alleged irregularities in officials of the Krasnov administration. One of the cases required the suspension for three months of the official who served as Secretary of Women and who is under scrutiny for compliance with the requirements needed for the position.
“With the data that emerged from the same administrative secretary, from the university and from different sources that we callverified sources to verify what the information is and additionally the collaboration of different entities, of different dependencies, was requested, obviously to have certainty because the decisions that are madethe suspensions that are taken, in the event of taking them wrongly, the responsibility is returned against the same ombudsman” indicated the ombudsman of Tunja.
In the midst of all the commotion caused by the different cases of the current administration of Tunja, secretaries close to Krasnov have resigned, who in their resignation letters speak of circumstances that they did not agree with and for which they preferred to step aside.
