CÓRDOBA, June 29. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Argentine band Fin del Mundo, made up of Julieta Heredia, Julieta Limia, Lucía Masnatta and Yanina Silva and which was born in 2019 in Buenos Aires, will perform at the Sala Ambigú Axerquía in Córdoba next Friday, August 23, starting at 10 p.m. 00 hours, within their European tour that will also take them to France and Switzerland.
Fin del Mundo, as the group itself explains on its website, consulted by Europa Press, has “roots in Southern Patagonia: Tierra del Fuego and Chubut” and with its music it invites us to “travel both spaces through melodies, lyrics and instrumental passages that combine an indie sound with nuances of emotional post-rock.”
The group released their first songs in April 2020, being “the soundtrack of our strange days of isolation” due to the Covid pandemic, and in their second release they seek other musical directions “to show that the end of the world is not the culmination but the beginning of a new stage.”
Now, nine months after their first European tour, the Argentines will continue to present their album ‘Todo va hacia el mar’ (2023, Spinda Records), as well as the first singles from their new studio work, which will be released this fall, although some have already been previewed in live sessions such as those at KEXP, the Ciclo Árbolazul, Los Conciertos de Radio 3 or Play & Tell by Fender.
Fin del Mundo’s return to Europe comes after participating in the Argentine version of the Coachella Festival, completing a successful first tour in Brazil, having been selected for Fender’s Next Class 2024 program, and selling out tickets in less than 24 hours for their first visit to Mexico with Austin TV, with whom they shared the stage a few weeks ago in Buenos Aires.
The band will tour part of Europe from 17 to 31 August on a tour organised by the agencies La Novena Escena, Annibale Booking and Brain Productions that will take them, before stopping in Córdoba, to Donostia-San Sebastián, where the tour begins on 17 August; Cambados (Pontevedra) and Torremolinos (Málaga). After their stop in the city of the Mosque, Fin del Mundo will perform in Madrid; Oviedo; Seignosse (France); Tours (France); Le Tour-de-Peilz (Switzerland) and Istres (France). The European tour will end on 31 August in Barcelona.
