The virtual event will be held on July 3 by the Administrative Department of the Civil Service (DAFP) and Planning.

Tunja, June 29, 2024. (UACP). Detecting fiscal risks allows us to mitigate the possibility of fiscal responsibilities for public officials.

This is stated in the sixth version of the Guide for Risk Management and the Design of Controls in Public Entities, authored by the Directorate of Management and Institutional Performance of the Administrative Department of the Public Service (DAFP).

This input is the basis for the training ‘Fiscal risks with a preventive approach’, aimed at mayors of the 123 municipalities of Boyacá, their secretaries, directorates and work teams, and also to the secretaries, directorates, managements, internal control heads and of planning, servers and professionals supporting the Integrated Planning and Management Model (Mipg) of the Government of Boyacá, and its decentralized entities.

According to the Secretary of Planning of Boyacá, Jairo Neira Sánchez, “the space will allow us to understand why the identification, classification, assessment and control of fiscal risk is essential, a clearly negative effect on resources, assets and patrimonial interests of a public nature, consequently of a potential event but one that we can avoid,” he said.

Likewise, Leidy Quintana Rojas, coordinator of the Planning and Management Methods Advisory Office, mentioned the importance of the activity.

“For the administration led by Governor Carlos Amaya, it is essential that the municipalities, the department and its officials have valuable tools that optimize planning and management processes for the development of Boyacá communities,” said Quintana.

Some topics that constitute the agenda of the day are associated with the structure of the Mipg, strategic planning, results-based management, transparency and accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.

The event has been scheduled for next Wednesday, June 3, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm via Teams. To connect the link is https://tinyurl.com/29k6bmtn.
