Disappearance of Loan: they claim that Laudelina Peña confessed that the boy was run over by the man from San Juan

More than 15 days after the intense search for Loan Danilo Peña, Laudelina, the five-year-old boy’s aunt, reportedly broke down and declared that the little boy was run over in Corrientes. It is estimated that the woman gave a statement before the provincial prosecutor for six hours. In this way, the hypothesis of the accident with the truck of the former municipal official, María Victoria Caillava, and the former San Juan military officer Carlos Pérez would be confirmed.

Journalist Adrián Ventura reported on TN that Laudelina’s version would have been recorded. According to the alleged investigation by the little boy’s aunt, she saw the accident and told the detained couple to take him to the hospital, but they warned her “not to say anything.”

The version was also made known by journalist Nicolás Wiñazky on Radio Mitre: “There will be an outcome soon in the Loan case, at the urging of the governor of Corrientes, Gustavo Valdés, and the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich. They managed to get Laudelina Peña, José Peña’s sister, Loan’s aunt, to secretly testify last night, and what she allegedly said is that the child died in an accident with a vehicle driven by the former naval captain Carlos Pérez and his wife, and that, frightened, they asked her for help. And that she, due to a matter of subordination that has to do with the idiosyncrasy of the place, together with Commissioner Maciel, helped cover up what was initially supposed to be negligent homicide and which has now been transformed into a crime with a much heavier penalty,” he said.
