In the so-called ‘Medusa’ operation, the Metropolitan Police of Neiva brought to justice seven men and one woman linked to the commission of different crimes in the capital of Huila.

Cases of sexual violence

One of those arrested is alias ‘Boni’, 49 years old, against whom there was a judicial requirement, issued by the Municipal Criminal Court of the city of Neiva, for the crime of abusive carnal access with a minor under 14 years of age in conjunction with sexual acts with a minor under 14 years of age, for events that occurred in November 2023, when he allegedly assaulted a minor under 13 years of age.

Among those involved is also alias ‘Juancho’, 33 years old, who was arrested for the crime of abusive carnal access with a minor under 14 years old in conjunction with sexual acts with a minor under 14 years old. Apparently, the events to which he is linked occurred in February of this year in the sports center of the III Milenio neighborhood of Neiva, where he supposedly gained the trust of a 12-year-old boy, whom he induced to enter a bathroom to grab him by the back and intimidate him with a knife while performing sexual acts on him and carnally accessing him.

Another of those arrested was alias ‘Chasipanza’, 37 years old, who was deprived of his liberty for the crime of sexual acts with a minor under 14 years old. The aforementioned was found in flagrante delicto recording with his cell phone under a girl’s skirt her private parts inside a supermarket in the El Jardín neighborhood.

Domestic violence

The arrest of alias ‘Ronald’, 41 years old, was also carried out for the crime of domestic violence, as he is the alleged person responsible for the events that occurred in March 2024, when he attacked his partner with stones, causing fractures to her head and face. According to the Police, this subject has records as an indictment for the crimes of counterfeiting foreign currency, receiving stolen goods, theft and domestic violence.

Linked to a homicide

Alias ​​’Diablo’, was another of those linked to the diligence after an arrest warrant issued by the Circuit Criminal Court for Adolescents with Knowledge Functions of Neiva, for the crime of homicide. The investigations show that the 20-year-old suspect would be responsible for the death of a man named ‘Silvio Durán’ whom he would have attacked with a knife in his neck and chest in events that occurred last February 2021 in the El Chunche settlement of the city of Neiva.

Prosecuted for carrying weapons

In the Children’s Park in the city of Neiva, the arrest warrant was issued against alias ‘Pipe’, for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking or possession of firearms, accessories or ammunition. The 23-year-old man involved already has a pending sentence of 54 months in prison to serve.

In trouble for drug trafficking

Likewise, 24-year-old ‘Maudy’ was arrested to serve a 32-month prison sentence for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics.

Finally, they arrested alias ‘Cesarión’ in flagrante delicto for the crime of drug trafficking, at a time when he was allegedly selling 97 doses of cocaine.

Investigators from the National Police and the CTI participated in these important results, in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office. Once all of them were presented in hearings, the judge determined in the case of ‘Cesarión’ and ‘Chansipanza’ to release them, but they will remain linked to the proceedings against them, and in the case of the others, they were all placed under preventive detention in a prison establishment.
