It is one of the most important cultural events organized by the Cuban Ministry of Culture and attracts more than 2,000 artists and intellectuals from approximately 18 countries.

The festival uses up to 40 different spaces throughout the city, presenting countless performances of music, dance, magic, religious ceremonies, painting, sculpture and theater.
