On June 26, the Knowledge Festival 2024 was held, an initiative of the San José Foundation supported for three years by the Bancaribe Foundation for Science and Culture and the Empresas Polar Foundation, within the framework of the events prior to the History Olympics.

In this new edition, nine schools benefiting from the Values Training program participated, from the municipalities of Arismendi, Bermúdez and Benítez, in the state of Sucre, represented by 94 students from 5th and 6th grade and their teachers, who prepared for several weeks by reviewing historical data of relevance in Venezuelan society.

Inspiration

In addition, the organizers of the History Olympics selected the journalist Carmen Clemente Travieso, as a civilian character for the study of teachers and students, Considering that Travieso was the first woman to graduate as a reporter from the Central University of Venezuela and actively worked for the women’s suffrage.

After the Knowledge Festival, the results of the tests are expected to determine who will be classified to represent the state of Sucre in the History Olympics, where the work of teachers and schools will also be recognized for their commitment to the education of Venezuelan children as virtuous citizens committed to the future of their country.
