The filmmaker releases the second installment of his science fiction saga for Netflix on April 19
Rebel MoonZack Snyder’s latest project, comes to an end on April 19th with the Netflix premiere of the sequel The warrior who leaves marks. But, as happens with Snyder’s projects, things are not going to stop there and there will be a director’s version of Rebel Moon.
Snyder confirmed a long time ago that his director’s version of this sci-fi epic was going to be a reality after the release of the sequel. There is still no specific date, but the filmmaker announced that it will be in the summer when fans can see the ‘director’s cut’. Now, the filmmaker has confirmed the length of this version.
Zack Snyder’s Justice Leaguethe director’s version of the film about the superhero group D.C., lasted about four hours. Well, then the one of Rebel Moon exceeds that figure: six hours. As Snyder explained in Forbeseach delivery lasts about three hours.

“Yes. The ‘director’s cut’ is, each, three hours. So, If you watch the director’s cuts one after the other it’s a six-hour adventure, but I think it’s going to be fun and definitely worth it“, he says. “The exciting thing is that on April 19 you will be able to see Part 1 and Part 2 in a row if you want. I have cut movies in half. “He wrote it as an individual story and then I cut them in half.”
Rebel Moon – Part 1: The Fire Girl arrived on Netflix in December. The film, starring Sofia Boutella, follows a young woman with a mysterious past who embarks on a journey to recruit warriors with whom to confront the tyrant who rules the galaxy. Rebel Moon – Part 2: The warrior who leaves marks will put the finishing touch to the conflict.
Snyder confirmed that, from the beginning, Netflix gave him free rein to make his version of the director. “Netflix told me from the beginning: ‘Let’s do a director’s cut.’ SensaCine. The director also announced that this version will be “more violent and more sexual”.
