In a Violent Nature: this is the innovative slasher that will be told through the killer’s perspective

The enigmatic resurrection, rampage and revenge of an undead monster in a remote wasteland unleashes an iconic new killer.

With its relentless masked killers, deaths as bloody as they are bizarre, and an all-powerful girl who survives in the end, the slasher managed to position itself as one of the most popular subgenres in the horror scene. Four decades after its golden era, its formula continues to repeat itself (and in some cases work), but few contemporary films have managed to break the mold by showing something new or innovative. In a Violent Nature seems to have intentions of going down that path, as it tries to change the axis and tell the story through new lenses.

From the hand of the special effects artist, screenwriter and director, Chris Nash (The ABCs of Death 2), this proposal presents a very familiar plot to the one we already saw in films like Friday the 13th: A burly killer with a penchant for killing in the bloodiest way possible who chases horny, drunk teenagers through a forest. So…what’s different? As his most recent trailer reveals, these events will be presented to us through the eyes of the villain himself. In this case, we are referring to Johnny, an undead who has recently been resurrected and has been cruel to everyone who has had the bad luck to cross paths with him.

“When a medallion is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods containing the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred by a horrific crime 60 years ago, his body is resurrected and determined to recover it. The undead golem zeroes in on the group of vacationing teenagers responsible for the robbery and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one, along with anyone who gets in its way.expresses the official synopsis of In a Violent Nature.
