THR exclusively announces that 20th Century Studios has begun developing a new film set in the world created by James Dashner in the trilogy of ‘The Maze Runner’.
Jack Paglen (‘Transcendence’, ‘Alien: Covenant’) will be in charge of writing the script for this film which, according to the aforementioned media, will be neither a new version nor a sequel to the original saga.
The model to follow would be the same one popularized by titles like ‘Mad Max: Fury Road‘ and that the study has already put into practice without going any further with ‘kingdom of the planet of the apes‘, a film to be released next Friday also directed by Wes Ball, responsible for the trilogy of ‘The Maze Runner’and which represents a new beginning for a franchise whose events nevertheless continue to respect.
