To celebrate the annual celebration of Star Wars fans, Disney+ presented a new trailer for the upcoming Lucasfilm series “The Acolyte”, which reveals who will be the fictional villain that arrives after the success of “Ahsoka.”

The live-action production that promises to be very suspenseful arrives on Tuesday, June 4, with the first two episodes, exclusively on Disney+.

In “The Acolyte,” the investigation of a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae, of “Squid Game” fame) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg).

“As more clues emerge, they enter a dark path in which sinister forces reveal that not everything is as it seems,” the synopsis advances.

The series stars Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo and Carrie-Anne Moss.

The fiction has among its showrunners Leslye Headland, one of the creators of “Russian Doll” and is set 100 years before Episode I, in times of peace where the Jedi reigned.

The footage shows a Sith Lord reappearing, proving that they were not extinct and that dark times are ahead.

“My question when watching The Phantom Menace was always: How did things get to this point? How have we gotten to a point where a Sith Lord can infiltrate the Senate and none of the Jedi notice? What went wrong? “What are the scenarios that have led us to this moment?” said Headland about the series.
