Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock met to celebrate 30 years of “Maximum Value” and, of course, the memory of the film’s great success made them express in unison the desire to make a new version.

In “Maximum Speed” Keanu Reeves played a Los Angeles police officer in charge of defusing a bomb on a bus full of passengers, prepared to explode if the vehicle’s speed drops below 80 kilometers per hour. Bullock played Annie, a passenger who takes charge of the transport when her driver is injured.
Released in 1994, the film grossed $110 million so producers rushed to film part 2 three years later. But Reeves did not want to be part of the game because after taking a look at the script he concluded that the story of the sequel was identical to that of the first and that the only novelty was that it did not take place on a bus but on a yacht.

Charming as she appears in all the interviews, Sandra Bullock said that she does not want to die without working with Keanu again and that it would be great to try a new film together.
The actor responded to the compliment with another similar one. “It feels like… there’s a siren song to it,” he said. “I think I would love to work with you again before our eyes close. We would do great” he assured.
“Maximum Speed II”, the film in which he was not present, was a failure and that is why it would be a challenge to try a third film trying to emulate the success of the first.
