‘Peter Pan Neverland Nightmare‘, a new B-series horror film that aims to follow in the footsteps of ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey‘, shares a first look at its protagonist, a twisted and dark Peter Pan who doesn’t have the face to make many friends. Thus, and as recently happened with the slasher version of the friendly Winnie the Pooh -whose rights became public domain-, Jagged Edge Productions aims to make the same move by taking advantage of a classic brand to offer its own terrifying vision.

Thus, and completely moving away from the classic work written by JM Barrie and popularized at the time by Walt Disneythis new version of Peter Pan becomes part of this kind of horror film universe known as Twisted Childhood Universe and that the authors of ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey’ are building, with other projects such as ‘Pinocchio Unstrung‘ and ‘Bambi: The Reckoning’. All these films will culminate in 2025 with the crossover ‘Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble‘.
Be that as it may, we already have a first image of the protagonist of ‘Peter Pan Neverland Nightmare‘, which is none other than this Disfigured Peter Pan and with much darker intentions than its animated counterpart and whose filming began at the beginning of this month of May 2024, with the aim of releasing on dates close to the next Halloween holiday, so it seems that the film will not have a lot of post-production work.
Scott Chambers directs while Rhys Frake-Waterfield produces this new live-action nightmare with classic characters, with the actor Martin Portlock giving life to this twisted Peter Pan who will kidnap the little Darling brothers, with Wendy trying to rescue them.
‘Peter Pan Neverland Nightmare‘ does not yet have a release date, although it is expected to arrive in time for the next holiday of Halloweenthat is, at the end of October 2024.
