I am the boy who will tell you all the latest news in film and television in 3DJuegos. I am passionate about science fiction, fantasy, superheroes and movie curiosities, those little behind-the-scenes stories of the directors and actors we have been following since we were little. My favorite saga? Star Trek. My favorite character? Superman, although lately a little more John Wick. One last thing, I promise not to bore you too much in my topics. LinkedIn

Matthew Vaughn He was very enthusiastic about the result of Argylle, so much so that he did not hesitate to state during the days prior to its release that he hoped this film would be the beginning of a new trilogy. However, the film arrived, it took a hit at the box office (it barely grossed just over 90 million dollars) and, to the pain of its director, was vilified even saying enough is enough for a good part of the press with 33% on Rotten Tomatoes. Were those criticisms fair?

“What did you do to offend these people?”

The British filmmaker believes not and he let us know in an interview with Empire, where he opened up about how he experienced the launch of his spy and humor thriller with stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Henry Cavill and Dua Lipa:

Was it disappointing to get such critical reception? “Fuck, yeah. We did test screenings that went fantastically well. The premiere was a lot of fun and I felt like I was going back to the days of Snatch. Hogs and Diamonds. (…) It was a fun and heartwarming movie, or so it was At least what I thought. I didn’t do Citizen Kane but damn, the criticism came and I thought: ‘What did I do to offend these people?’ I’m not saying the movie was perfect by any means, but I didn’t think it was that perfect. That took me a little by surprise.” Empire

The director of X-Men: First Class and Stardust is not discouraged and hopes that the film’s performance on platforms, where it is doing well, will allow him to resume the saga: “Never say never.” Argylle can currently be seen on Apple TV + and presents a story where Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard) discovers that his spy stories correspond to the activities of a real spy network and begins a dangerous game of chase.

In 3DGames | It cost 80 million dollars and didn’t even make 30, the science fiction fiasco that almost killed Kevin Costner can now be seen in Max; Messenger of the Future

In 3DGames | “It’s disappointing that she’s still No. 1.” The year in theaters is being so calamitous that no one overshadows Dune 2, something that worries its director
