The film arrives in Spanish cinemas on August 30th and one person has already given their opinion on the final product. This is Cliff Dorfman, writer of Warriorwho shared his reaction on Twitter and later deleted it (via CBM).
“If, hypothetically, one saw a projection of The Raven (The Crow) which Lionsgate releases in August, You could say it’s horrible, it’s impossible to watch, don’t waste your money or I can’t believe it’s much worse than the original. It is. And no,” Dorfman writes.

In March the first trailer for the film was released and within 24 hours it received more than 50,000 dislikes on YouTube. “It’s good to know that movie studios don’t care about making good movies,” read one comment. “The only thing this trailer has done is make me want to see the original,” said one user.

The Raven is a new film version of the graphic novel by James O’Barr. The story follows Eric Draven, a man who is brutally murdered along with his girlfriend and has the opportunity to take revenge. Skarsgård plays the protagonist and FKA Twigs plays his partner. Danny Huston, for his part, gets into the shoes of the villain.
The Raven from 1994 is the most tragic fantasy film because of what happened behind the cameras: Brandon Lee, the protagonist, died from a gunshot during the filming of a scene.
Alex Proyas, director of the original film, criticized the new version, which has become a controversial project: “The Raven It wasn’t just a movie. Brandon Lee died making it and it was finished as a testament to his loss of brilliance and her tragic loss. It is his legacy. This is how it should stay“.
