I am the guy who will tell you all the latest news in film and television in 3DJuegos. I am passionate about science fiction, fantasy, superheroes and movie curiosities, those little behind-the-scenes stories of the directors and actors we have been following since we were little. My favorite saga? Star Trek. My favorite character? Superman, although lately a little more John Wick. One last thing, I promise not to bore you too much in my topics. LinkedIn

With so many releases of Star Wars in film and television, it was obvious that sooner or later it was going to happen and it has, even though we have had to wait nearly 40 years. Development on a sequel to The crazy story of galaxies (Spaceballs in original version). We know this.

For those who have never seen it, this film by Mel Brooks (Young Frankenstein) reimagined Star Wars, with nods to other science fiction films of the time, such as a very funny adventure comedy in which the evil planet Spaceball, with Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis) as commander, attempts to steal the atmosphere of another world by kidnapping its princess. Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) will have to rescue her in a journey where you will learn to use “luck”.

No news on the original cast

It’s unknown if Star Wars Story 2 will bring back any of the original cast, but for now we know that Josh Gad (voice of Olaf in Frozen) has signed on to star, with Mel Brooks on board the project as a producer. Josh Greenbaum will direct the film from a script written by Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez (Pokemon: Detective Pikachu) with the collaboration of Gad.

For now there are no more details about this Amazon & MGM Studios project. Comment that Josh Gad already has experience in making us laugh in space with the wonderful and underrated Avenue 5, with Hugh Laurie, which HBO canceled after its second season. Spaceballs cannot be seen on platforms today.

In 3DGames | Complaining about the latest Star Wars release is nothing new, nor was The Empire Strikes Back spared the criticism of dividing fans 40 years ago.
