It is not my intention to do even more blood from a film that has already bled to the ground without the possibility of being revived: ‘Flash’ (0 ‘The Flash’) was received with divided opinions but at the box office it was an absolute and surprising failure, despite its parade of stars and impossible cameos that stretched the possibilities of the multiverses as far as possible. However, there was someone who was missing, and it is not because Warner did not try: Christian bale.
In ‘Flash’ up to three actors appear as Batman (one of them is the big surprise at the end) but the rumors were not true and we never see Bale, protagonist of the trilogy he directed Christopher Nolan. The British actor stood alone a small condition to Warner to once again don the mantle of the Caped Crusader.

Christian Bale was not very convinced about having Andy Muschietti in the director’s chair: To put on Batman’s cowl again, Nolan only had to return. You see, it’s that simple. It’s not a new thing, and in fact he’s been telling it for years to anyone who wants to listen. Do you want a Bale cameo in your multiverse movie? He calls one of the most important directors in the world, to see if he’s up for it.
“For me, it would be a Chris Nolan thing, if he decides to do it again, and if he chooses to follow my path again. So yes, I would consider it because that was always our pact. We said we would only do three. And then I told myself I would only do it again with Chris.”
With or without Christian Bale, ‘Flash’ has been a blow to the studio’s planswho after Ben Affleck’s goodbye was already confident of playing Michael Keaton a new old Batman from which to squeeze all the juice with the multiverse. Instead, he has decided to bet on the reboot of the entire DC universe led by James Gunn and which begins with a new ‘Superman’. On the other hand, Warner and DC rely on other parallel sagas, ‘The Batman’ with Robert Pattinson and ‘Joker’ with Joaquin Phoenix, both with sequels in progress. What seems impossible is that they can recover Christian Bale’s dark knight.
