On Saturday, June 29, on the solemnity of Saints Peter and Saint Paul, the diocese of Córdoba will experience a day of great importance with lto ordination of eight new priestsThese young people, coming from diverse localities and vocational paths, will now form part of the universal Church.

In the words of Bishop Demetrio Fernández, “it is great news for everyone, it is a particularly important day.” The bishop highlights that this ordination It is the result of “so many prayers from the entire diocese” and of the “good work of the priests and parish priests, of the vocational ministry, of the Christian families, of the youth delegation and of the adoremus every Thursday.” He also emphasizes the importance of synodality, stating that “in this field more than in others, the synodality of the Church appears, the communion of saints, the joint action of a family united by the Holy Spirit.”

The new priests, Paco Aguilar, Álvaro Fdez.-Martos, Paco Flores, Javi González, Juan Yersin, Javi Montes, Miguel Ángel Moyano and Javi R. Calmaestra, will be sent to various places in the diocese to serve their communities.
