Gladiator 2 wants to live up to the original film and to do so it will once again have spectacular scenes
There are several months left until the arrival of one of the most unexpected and ambitious sequels of the coming years: Gladiator 2. The sequel to the successful film directed by Ridley Scott aims high with a first-class cast and promises impressive spectacle.
During the CineEurope trade event in Barcelona, Paramount’s president of international theatrical distribution, Mark Vianeassured along with Ridley Scott that Gladiator 2 will be hugely ambitious and will have “the biggest action sequences in history.”
Scott, for his part, explained that it has taken him a while to make this sequel, but he is sure that it will be worth the wait. In addition, during the presentation new images of this highly anticipated sequel were shown, with Paul Mescal as the great protagonist.
Several months ago, Scott himself teased an unprecedented fight in which the protagonist will face a carnivorous baboon. Although it sounds crazy, considering that the story is set in ancient Rome, it is not entirely crazy. Gladiator 2 will hit theaters around the world on November 22, 2024.
