Action master John Woo wants to reconquer Hollywood with the new version of one of his great classics

Now, his next and highly anticipated project in Hollywood arrives: John Woo has developed a new version of The Killer and the first images of the remake have finally come to light.
Since there was first talk of Woo’s intention to make a new version of The Killer in 2007, the remake has gone through several stages to this day, but the new film adaptation is finally underway and the first images have already been seen, which have been published exclusively by the IGN website.
In them you can see John Woo as well as his new leading duo: Nathalie Emmanuel, best known for her role as Missandei in Game of Thrones and Omar Sy, the protagonist of the hit Netflix series Lupine.
At the center of the history of The Killer We find Zee (Emmanuel), a professional assassin who does not live up to her fame when she refuses to follow her client’s orders and kill a blind young woman. The professional assassin quickly goes from hunter to prey, which is why she ends up on the radar of an investigator (Omar Sy).
Nathalie Emmanuel follows in the footsteps of Chow Yun-Fat, who played the lead role in the 1989 original.
In United States, The Killer It can be seen on Peacock starting August 23, 2024, although its premiere in Spain remains to be seen.
