“Today I celebrate my dear friend Ian and his unbreakable spirit… I love this man. We both have our Gucci on,” says Anthony Hopkins on his TikTok account, where he has shared a video with fellow actor Ian McKellen in which They both come out dancing to a Leonard Cohen song with the same matching plaid jacket.

McKellen suffered a fall while performing his play, Player Kings, in London’s West End. He was performing a fight when he fell into the audience and had to be taken to hospital. The performance had to be canceled at first and, for the last three performances in London, he was replaced by actor David Semark.

That day the performance is scheduled in Bristol and later it will pass through Birmingham, Norwich and Newcastle.

“I would like to thank you all for your kind messages and support. My injuries have been diagnosed and treated by a number of experts, specialists and nurses working for the NHS. They have assured me that my recovery will be complete and rapid, and I am looking forward to getting back to work,” said McKellen, known for such popular roles as Gandalf in The Lord of the rings.
