The inspiration behind the ‘Inside Out’ movies
You may have already guessed it, but the inspiration for the film is in all of us, in our minds and the way we perceive emotions. The creators of both films spent a lot of time with neuroscience experts. Emotions are not easy to conceptualize, but we have all experienced and felt them at some point.
The screenwriter and director of ‘Inside Out’, Pete Docter he wanted to interpret with some precision the scientific concepts of personality, memory and emotions in his film. Keltnerthe doctor in psychology behind the film, believes that when watching any of the ‘Inside Out’ films we are faced with a sufficiently scientifically accurateso moving that it can influence the way people perceive their own emotions.
Even watching some of the films helps children to know themselves better and understand the way in which the emotions they are presented with work. It may sound absurd, but there are many adults who cannot understand or classify their emotions, because they do not know the source of these, but watching this series of films can change that perception.
In ‘Inside Out 2’ A similar process was had, the creatives worked very closely with experts in the scientific area of emotions, but now from the perspective of a more adolescent ‘Riley’. The chaos that occurs in this stage of life allowed the creators to reimagine and restructure several things within the film.
The things that make a strong impression on our lives are the ones we tend to remember the most, and adolescence is no exception. Many new emotions come to us and stay in our memory, which is why when we watch the film we are transported and remember those familiar emotions again.
