Eminem celebrates his 16 years without addictions with this post on Instagram

In the publication, Eminem showed an image of his hand holding a sobriety coin, a symbol used in recovery programs to commemorate important milestones on the path to rehabilitation. The coin displays the image of a tree and the inscription “Unity Service Recovery”. Of course, the rapper did not write anything next to the photo.

Some time ago, the artist revealed his struggle with addiction to substances such as Vicodin, Ambien and Valium. His search for help intensified after he overdosed on methadone in 2007. In an interview with Vibe in 2009, Eminem described his addiction, admitting that he consumed large quantities of pills dailylosing control over the substances he ingested.

“This should have been one of the first signs for me, but I never thought I had a problem. I really liked drugs a lot. As I started making a little money, I was able to buy more,” she went on to say.

“I didn’t do anything difficult until I became famous, I was experimenting. You would go on tour and people would give you free drugs. I managed it for a while. And then it just became like ‘I like this shit too much and I don’t know how to stop.’“he explained.
