What are the guitar tunes most sought after by aspiring guitarists in each country in the world? It’s a good question that you answered. Wood & Fire Studiowhich has done a statistical study to discover which are the songs whose tablatures and chords are most sought after by musicians.

“Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes is the most Googled guitar riff in the world, with 39,750 Google searches per month, followed by “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin (30,375 searches/month) and “Come As You Are” by Nirvana (28,750 searches/month). As it could not be otherwise, these are some of the songs that beginners most want to play when picking up the six strings for the first time.

Those are the tablatures but… what about the chords? The chords to “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen are by far the most searched song chords on Google, with 163,453 people searching for them each month. Without a doubt, it is a most emotional song that few people resist trying to sing. In fact, it tops the charts in the US, Australia, France and Sweden. Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” is in second place (147,479 searches/month) and Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” is third (135,979 searches/month).

And what happens in Spain?

Well, the most popular song sought by musicians in Spain is “Wish You Were Here.”. They are also incredibly popular in Latin America, although not above Elvis and his “Can’t Help Falling In Love”… a lot of people are in love there.

“Let It Be” by The Beatles tops the chart in the United Kingdom, with 21,877 Google searches per month, as well as in Germany, with 24,026 searches per month. Worldwide, it ranks fourth with a total of 131,336 searches per month.
