The origin of tapas
The term “tapeo” comes from the historical fact that in Spain the glasses were covered with saucers or tostones to prevent flies from landing on the drinks. This is how the concept of tapas was born: consuming different foods and drinks in small portions.
Given the current economic situation in Argentina and the high cost of dining out, tapas emerge as an alternative to enjoy out without spending large sums. You can taste various culinary options in smaller portions at more affordable prices.
In Córdoba, one of the prominent places to enjoy tapas is “La Tapería”, a bar located in the Güemes neighborhood. The owners, a couple who left their professions to dedicate themselves to this gastronomic venture, offer dishes that vary between $8,000 and $12,000 pesos, accompanied by a drink.

Another notable place in Córdoba is Bross. Located near the Municipality of Córdoba, this place offers innovative tapas such as spicy vegetables gratin with goat cheese grilled on charcoal.
