The premiere of “Dogs of War”, the new song Motley Cruewas completed last Friday with the release of the shocking video clip in which the band has followed the line started by Tommy Lee and his controversial “Bouncy Castle” by having the animation of Nick Den Borer to capture in images what Nikki Sixx has explained with reference to that “it seems like everyone has been trying to kill us and our career.”
“You can’t kill us!”says the vocalist smiling. Motley Crue, Vince Neilduring the interview granted to UCR after the premiere, in which Neil is accompanied by his fellow bassist and founder, Nikki Sixx. It is Sixx who explains the video in which we see the band crashing with a plane and returning as zombies to face different creatures in a world full of references to Mötley Crüe’s career: “The funny thing is that in our life, in general, it seems like everyone has always been trying to kill us, end our career, and that’s why it’s funny in the video that they can’t kill us. Even if we die, we end up sniffing our own ashes and coming back.”
The bassist celebrates the reception that the new song is having, the first since They accompanied the movie ‘The Dirt’and also the premiere for John 5 in the role of guitarist after occupying Mick Mars’ stand: “I like it because when people hear it for the first time, it’s very heavy but then it opens up. It’s part of how, for the band, it’s always fun to find something new to do.”
In the bedroom there is still new material to release for Mötley Crüe, as Neil commented to Billboard: “We want to continue releasing new music so as not to stagnate. We record “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)”, of the Beastie Boysand we also recorded this song, and I think it turned out pretty good.”
