Lee Chae Min will be leaving her role as “Music Bank” MC, while Moon Sang Min is currently in talks to join as the new MC.
On April 30, Lee Chae Min’s Gold Medalist agency confirmed, “Lee Chae Min will be leaving KBS2’s ‘Music Bank’ after its last broadcast on May 3.”
Having been named MC in September 2022, Lee Chae Min will step down after one year and seven months to focus on acting. Lee Chae Min’s next project is the new Netflix drama “Hierarchy,” which will premiere in June.
On the same day, a media outlet reported that Moon Sang Min is being considered to take over Lee Chae Min’s position.
In response to the report, Moon Sang Min’s agency Awesome ENT shared, “It is true that Moon Sang Min received an offer to be the MC of ‘Music Bank’. He is currently reviewing positively [la oferta]”.
KBS further added, “Until the successor MC is confirmed, special MCs will join the show.”
Lee Chae Min’s final episode of “Music Bank” will air on May 3 at 5:10 pm KST.
