The musician made a publication from “the sidewalk across the street” in which he went out to the intersection of the legislators who had voted against the project that was finally approved.

After a marathon session in Deputiesduring the morning of this Tuesday the second version of the Bases Law project obtained general approval in the Lower House. The session was defined by 142 affirmative votes, 106 against and five abstentions.

On a hot day inside the venue, the debate was heated to the surface on social networks. In this context, It was Andrés Calamaro who settled “on the opposite sidewalk” and went out to the intersection of the deputies who voted against. On this occasion, everything was triggered by a user who shared a photo of the Unión por la Patria deputy, Rodolfo Tailhade, who had referred to the project as the “Base Pasta Law.” From his anonymous profile on X, where under the alter ego of Ezra Pound fires his self-styled “fascist stand up”, Calamaro quoted the message and joked about the parliamentary day.

“I am not knowledgeable in laws or current events (current events in themselves are a scam because they are supposed to be a projection of reality and are far from it) but it is enough for me to guess who voted against and are crying indignantly, since they display (possess) impeccable morals”. Minutes later, by way of clarification, the singer quoted his own message: “To settle on the opposite sidewalk“, he reinforced in the unofficial account @Galimbe64457296.

It is worth mentioning that the second version of the project presented by the government of La Libertad Avanza (LLA) obtained approval thanks to the majority support of the dialogue blocks (PRO, UCR, Hacemos, Federal Innovation and MPN). The Union for the Homeland, the Left and Workers Front, the socialist bloc and Natalia de la Sota from Córdoba voted against.
