Nothing beats classic rock, but if you want to add new songs, K-pop has great songs with rock touches. With a modern twist, these songs seamlessly fuse old and new! There’s something about a good guitar riff and drums that really play well.

LE SSERAFIM – “Not Heavenly”

LE SSERAFIM has explored an incredible amount of genres with their music considering the group is just over two years old while still staying true to K-pop at its core. “No Celestial” is a B-side track, but the energy and incredible rock sound make it as fun as any title track!

Stray Kids – “Time Out”

If you’re nostalgic for the boy band sound of the late ’90s and early ’00s, then Stray Kids’ “Time Out” is perfect for you! Another group that has explored an incredible variety of musical influences throughout their career, so it’s no surprise that they’ve pulled it off as well with this fun pop-rock song.

Dreamcatcher – “GOOD NIGHT”

A girl group sticking to their hardcore roots, Dreamcatcher is known for their rock sound combined with the classic structure and sound of K-pop. “GOOD NIGHT” features stunning vocals and a guitar track that is to die for. This is a group you should check out if you want something a little edgy in your K-pop playlist!

TXT – “Growing Pain”

A tragically underrated track from TXT’s B-side, “Growing Pain” is for hardcore rock fans. TXT has demonstrated an incredible amount of vocal range when it comes to meeting the demands of different genres. They also have some more pop-punk rock songs if that’s your vibe, so don’t count out TXT when it comes to rock!

OH MY GIRL – “Perfect Day”

Feeling an oldie but a goodie, “Perfect Day” is a song by OH MY GIRL, a group generally known for their super bright and catchy K-pop sound! This song may be a surprise to newer fans familiar with the group’s recent discography, but it’s a great piece of pop-rock that isn’t heavy.

DAY6 – “Shoot Me”

Being a complete phenomenon when it was released in 2018, you would be hard pressed to find a K-pop fan at the time who hadn’t heard this song. Luckily for us, it’s just as good as it was then! DAY6 is a K-pop band, halfway between K-pop and K-rock. If bands are your thing, DAY6 is amazing!

Choi Ye Na – “WithOrWithOut”

Choi Ye Na, former member of the group IZ*ONE, is now a successful solo artist with several hits to her name. “WithOrWithOut” is a B-side track from her second album and has the kind of girly pop-rock sound that is a lot of fun to listen to. It could get stuck in your head, so be careful!

SEVENTEEN – “March”

From the moment the bass line starts, it’s clear that SEVENTEEN’s “March” is a hit! This one is also criminally underrated, but has a guitar and drums to ground it as the vocals soar. SEVENTEEN is reliably successful in every genre he tries, so it’s no surprise to him that this is such a good track.

(G)I-DLE – “TOMBOY”

If you’ve never heard this song, where have you been? (G)I-DLE undoubtedly had the song of the summer of 2022 with this release, unleashing the rebellious spirit that underlies many of the group’s songs in a rock-inspired track.
