This June 16, a new Father’s Day in Argentina and it presents itself as a more than ideal occasion to talk about dad rock either “rock for dads”a phenomenon that seems to change as the years go by.
What is “dad rock”?
He dad rock is a term used to describe a subgenre of rock that is generally enjoyed by middle-aged or older people. This style of music is characterized by being classic rock, melodic and accessible, with strong guitars, epic solos and lyrics about themes such as love, loss, rebellion and nostalgia.
A new study published by Merchoid revealed what they are the 10 best dad rock bands of all time based on a survey where 3 thousand people answered the question “Which band really represents dad rock today?” The results range from groups and artists from the 80s to some whose peak was in the early 2000s.
