The cancellation of the German group is due to medical reasons
Rock Empire Festival 2024 has suffered a last-minute drop one day before the start of the Cartagena Metal and Rock event. This is the German Thrash Metal band. TANKARDthat will not be able to perform for health reasons.
“To all our Spanish fans,
We are very sorry to have to cancel our appearance at the Rock Imperium Festival this Saturday, June 22, 2024 in Cartagena.
Reason: our guitarist Andi ‘Iron Man’ Gutjahr recently broke his collarbone in a bicycle accident and had to undergo a surgery so he is not able to play the guitar for some time.
We are very sad about this but of course we wish you all a great festival with all those other great bands. We’re trying to be able to play Cartagena 2025 or 2026 instead.

The organization has not yet announced which group will play instead of the German combo.
We remind you that Rock Imperium is also celebrating a series of activities within the framework of Side Rock Imperium, its alternative program in which, in different locations of the city, they will be projected filmswill be presented book “Life…? And Napalm Death” with the presence of Shane Embury and will be performed free concerts outside the festival poster.
Rock Imperium Festival 2024 will be held in the Cuesta del Batel Park of CartagenaMurcia, from June 19 to 22 with concerts by JUDAS PRIEST, EXTREME, URIAH HEEP, AVANTASIA, KAMELOT, SAXON, ACCEPT, WARLOCK or EMPEROR among many others.
